Don’t Buy Another Online Program- a manifesto for enlightenment

(click on it)

I am such a sucker for online spiritual courses that end up stealing my soul.

It’s a tough topic for me as I have friends I deeply respect who make their living in the business. And like other sneaky addictions I have, I just recently bought another amazingly disappointing program (and then tried to hide it from my man.)

So know that this conversation comes from a woman with deep roots in the try to buy the lie game.

This is an article I wrote for Recovering Yogi. It got a lot of play and I think the most interesting part of the essay is all the comments and responses below. Add your opinion too please!

What’s your deal with buying self-help courses online? Was it a horror story or are you now a 7 figure success?

As always, speak your truth and pass me around.

Love

Emelia

blogger-preneur says: “you’re not alone. i’m often lonely too”

me: i’m not alone! i feel better already

blogger-preneur says: “this is what i do to start connecting”

me: ok, great, some helpful advice!

    blogger-preneur: “i call on my home-girls”

    me: um… ok…

blogger-preneur: “and now you can have home-girls too if you just sign up for my e-course and closed facebook group for $300, you will be surrounded by loving community, you will have friends forever, you will never be lonely again! it’s that SIMPLE! it’ll be amazeballs!”

  2. I love online programs and have always searched it out and if I think it is a match for me I go for it. It is a great way to learn, grow, and develop skills. I have loved every program I have purchased. I love that the web offer so many cool programs with amazing people that inspire others by doing what they love and are good at.
